Neither Happy, Nor Sad

Every time you go away…
The black hole of loneliness opens up
Leaving me incomplete
With the sense of emptiness.

~0~

Every time you go away…
You take a piece of me with you.
You are my other half;
The person who makes me whole.

~0~

Every time you go away…
I have to practice being serene
Maintain a clear, static vision,
And calm the uneven seas of desperation.

~0~

I have drunk this poison from this cup many times before.
And now that you’re gone… In my deepest inner
Mind, I know you’ll return. Till then, I’ll sustain.
And for the people around me…I’ll exist…
